We hope that this letter finds you healthy and happy in your homes. While the nation and the world are grappling with the COVID-19 Pandemic, we find ourselves adapting to a new kind of lifestyle. As a construction based business, Wood Palace is still fully operational, with some minor changes to lead times and practices. Those of us who are working in the office are abiding by the social distance guidelines and some of us are working from home. We are grateful to continue working safely, as so many others are not.

We offer our sympathy to those who are unable to work due to the current health crisis, and our deepest gratitude goes to the healthcare professionals on the front lines dealing with it first hand.

Our Showroom is temporarily closed to the public, but we are still hard at work for our existing clients! And in order to serve new clients, we are happy to introduce our Virtual Design Services program. We offer the same kind of client experience one would receive in person, all from the comfort and safety of your own home. By incorporating communication platforms like Face Time and Zoom, we are able to meet, measure, and present designs using the same concepts as in person. No handshake required.

If you have been thinking about renovating your home, if you have been spending a lot of time in your kitchen, if you are planning to cook at home more often, it has never been a better time to get started on the process.

So if preparing meal after meal in your outdated or dysfunctional kitchen has you thinking about your dream kitchen, we are here to help. We will show you the potential and help you plan a budget you can be comfortable with. We can get the work started right away, or plan it for the future.

Here’s How it works:

• FIRST MEETING, over the phone.We get to know you and your needs. You’ll speak to a designer to get an idea of your goals. Are you in need of a refresh, or a complete redesign? Are you planning to live in your home or sell in the next few years? What parts of your kitchen could function better for you? Many factors go into how we approach each design, and are specific to each client. It’s all part of our Dream First concept.
• SECOND MEETING, via zoom or any visual platform you like. We get to know your space and guide you in taking some measurements. You will need a tape measure, but no expertise. We can get a design started based on basic measurements, but will always confirm dimensions in person at a later date. We’ll help you discover your style with our Digital Dream Boards and share ideas through Houzz and Pinterest. New to Zoom? Read this for tips and tricks, as well as security concerns.
• THIRD MEETING, via email We show you some design concepts and help you to select colors and styles through our cabinet manufacturer’s websites. You can browse appliances, countertop and hardware selections online as well. We will then present you with a quote for your project, and you will have everything lined up whenever you are ready to start the project.

With such uncertain times we are living in, we know it is hard to think of the future. We believe the secret to staying positive is concentrating on what makes us happy. Whether its making your home more functional, more stylish, or more organized (or all of the above), we know that happiness begins at home. For us at Wood Palace, and for so many local professionals in the design industry, looking to the horizon is such a big part of our job. We are constantly trend-spotting, looking to discover new techniques, new materials and innovations in the kitchen design world.  We have an optimistic outlook on the future and when things get back to normal, we look forward to serving our clients in person.
