The excitement for the Super Bowl definitely comes in three categories. 1) The anticipation of the amazingly expensive Super Bowl commercials (and which one will be the best). 2) The excitement of the super star performing for the half-time show (and what “blooper” will happen that they can’t hide from). 3) The glamour of watching your favorite NFL team (and how the “Ref’s are favoring the other team)… and, of course, the food and beverages we will enjoy during the game at those Super Bowl parties with our friends!!

I have to admit that I definitely look forward to the Super Bowl commercials this time of year. Maybe it’s because I am an animal lover, but it’s not a Super Bowl without the amazing “Budweiser Clydesdale’s” commercials!! Remember Big Joe Greene and the boy who gave him his Coke? What’s your favorite?

Then again, I can’t miss the half time show either!!! You never know what is going to go wrong on stage!! You don’t want to be left out of the “Did you see…” water cooler conversation the next day. Remember Janet Jackson? And this year, “Is it Beyonce’ or Memorex?” What blooper do you remember?

We can’t forget the two teams. Although, I don’t know about you but, without the NE Patriots playing this year, this category is on the bottom of my list. It is always comical to hear the anger when the Ref’s make a call that isn’t in favor of the favorite team. “Are you blind?” “Ya, that wouldn’t have been caught if it was the other team,” Sound familiar?

My favorite Super Bowl appetizer has to be “Nacho 7 Layer dip”! Well, no wait a minute, “Triscuits with a slice of melted Cheddar cheese topped with a sliced Jalepeno” are good too! Don’t forget the dessert! I could go on and on, but to be honest? This is getting me hungry!
