Breakfast on the Go out of Your Kitchen
If you are like me, I like to get up early in the morning and do the things that I need to do and get out of the house as quickly as possible. Breakfast is important to me so I do want to make sure that I eat a good healthy breakfast before I leave. I have been seeing a nutritionist for the last 4 years and I try to follow the course that she has set me on.
I have found out that most breakfasts are eaten on the go by a good portion of our population. Yes, it is so much easier to just drive to Dunkie’s or MacDonald’s and order off their menu but I’m pretty sure that I have never seen these items in my Healthy Eating book. I’m an avid reader of Jim Rohn and the one thing that has always stuck in my mind is his talk on making sure we eat nutritionally for mind control and energy. He felt that this was the most important thing we can do to assure success in our lives.
So, the real challenge I guess we have is to make sure that we eat this most important meal of the day and still be on time to where we need to be. There is only one way to do it right and that is to plan our meals ahead. Preparing the ingredients the night before will save you time in the morning when you are running to work or school. I sometimes like to have a hard boiled egg in the morning so I just make them up the night before so that I can just salt them and eat them quickly in the morning. You can also make up a nice breakfast quiche on Sunday night and cut yourself a piece each morning. Breakfast tacos are easy and quick also when you have your ingredients ready and waiting to go.
We have many choices in life and it is up to you to make the ones that will be right for you. Make the healthy choice and prepare your own meals each morning. I know that donuts, bagels, warm muffins and breakfast sandwiches are very tasty and convenient but they will add pounds to your waist, deplete your energy levels and also cost you much more than you think. Eating healthy is a choice, make it yours and watch how much better you will perform during the day. Tim HolickThis entry was posted in Good Health Tips on .
